About IVSA Thessaloniki
Greece constitutes an active member of this association since 1992. IVSA Thessaloniki was created on 2009 and has been an active member since then. Any student of the School of Veterinary Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, can become a member of I.V.S.A. Thessaloniki.
The mission of I.V.S.A. is:
To improve the international standards of veterinary education and broaden the professional horizons of veterinary medicine students.
To actively promote the importance of the Veterinary Science.
To build connections between veterinary students worldwide.
According to this mentality, activities currently undertaken by I.V.S.A. Thessaloniki include:
An individual exchange programme, providing Greek Veterinary students with the opportunity to work with professional veterinary health care abroad; whilst demonstrating our Veterinary Clinics to the international community.
Operating group exchanges for cultural learning.
Organizing events and lectures on various interesting veterinary topics.
Hosting the Annual Panhellenic Veterinary Medicine Students' Congress, in which every student may present a topical speech to their peers.
Participating in local and international veterinary conferences.
Publishing informative leaflets for veterinary students.
Arranging and coordinating a programme of entertaining events for students (trips, parties, film screening).
Publishing the student veterinary magazine “Adespotos” (= stray)
